The Network
The Anti-Violence Network of the City of Livorno was established with the objective of preventing and combating gender-based violence and offering support, protection, and guidance to people who are victims of it, directly or indirectly.
The Network is composed of public institutions, local entities, and associations that collaborate in a coordinated way to build an integrated intervention system, capable of providing effective, timely, and respectful responses to the rights and dignity of every person.
How It Works
The Network also provides for interventions dedicated to men who are perpetrators of violence through specific listening and accountability programs, with the objective of preventing recidivism and promoting behavioral change.
Services
The Network’s activities take place throughout the municipal and provincial territory, through the following services:
- the listening desk, which represents a first safe and confidential space in which to talk about one’s situation;
- psychological counseling, which helps to deal with the emotional consequences and to strengthen personal resources;
- social assistance, which accompanies people in building pathways to autonomy and protection;
- legal guidance, which provides information on rights, forms of protection, and possible actions to be taken.
- access to social and health services, which offer assistance and care even in emergency situations, and promote personalized pathways for achieving personal, housing, and work autonomy.
